Here's a window into my life. It's a tiny little space, and we're a bit crowded, sometimes crazy, but never boring.

Here's to living life to the fullest without getting into to much trouble, causing anyone injury, getting caught, slipping a disc, or....

...well, you get the picture!

Yep, I'm still here, thanks for asking...

I've just been a little distracted lately. I'm sorry I have neglected my writings, but I've made some pretty significant changes to my Nana lifestyle. I am now one of the under paid, over worked, and uninsured in America, otherwise know as the employed.

That's right, Nana has a job!

As the prices of gasoline keeps going up, and as long as the housing market keeps going down, (Papa's chosen field) I am finding myself between a rock and an extremely hard place, with no other option then to place myself up on the auction block. I've never been great at selling myself, I usually just cut to the chase and stand back and see what happens...

...One middle aged grandmother looking for something meaningful to do for pay. Needs flexible hours (and work week, too) so she spend time with family, play with friends, and still have enough time to ride her bike whenever she wants to.

Will not work weekends, holidays, or Fridays before a big bike ride (maybe not the Mondays after either), one entire week in June called the BTC, the Thursday & Friday before RU08, and a few other dates, too numerous to mention. Has a tendency to be bossy, stubborn, and sometimes challenging. Insists on having fun while working. Call only on Tuesdays between 9-10am if interested in hiring. Only serious employers please...

OMG! The phone rang! Someone actually called and offered me a job. Not just any job, but the perfect job. A job that met all the criteria above (I knew I should have asked for more), so, what could I say but yes. I now work for Volunteer's of America, as their Volunteer Program Coordinator. They actually pay me a descent wage to help people (pretty meaningful), and I get all the time off I need for family, friends, and cycling. And as a bonus, it's fun too, you see they also made me their Events Coordinator, I get to plan all the parties and events for the entire county, I love that sort of stuff.

So, since early March, I have been learning how to juggle my new job, the girl's school and activities, my cycling, marriage, my job at the gym, and everything else in between. I'm not so skilled at it yet, but I'm starting to get a good handle on the situation. I now know if I put things off long enough, Papa will do them for me. More on the new job as soon as things settle down at bit...

Help...

My thoughts on aging...

The best way to get most husbands to do something is to suggest that perhaps they're too old to do it.

Age is an issue of mind over matter. If you don't mind, it doesn't matter.

Old minds are like old horses; you must exercise them if you wish to keep them in working order.

When I'm eighty I will have learned everything, I just hope I can remember it all!
